Susan Macurdy dyes yarn in her lobster pots on her kitchen stove. The skeins go from the pots to the trees in her yard to dry in the salty air of the Cape. Cape Cod, that is, home of Susan and her company, Cape Cod Fibers.


The vibrant palette is shown here in the worsted weight Lobster Pot Cashmere. Each skein of 100% cashmere has approximately 100 yards. Donning a cashmere hat and scarf when it's cold will keep you warm while these wonderful colors brighten grey winter days.

This year Susan introduced a new yarn - the Whale of a Skein. A unique blend of 80% wool, 10% cashmere, and 10% de-haired angora, it comes in a whopping 250 gram skein with 740 yards.


The palette is the same wonderfully variegated colors as the cashmere.
