baby magic

Our friend Anne surprised us this weekend by knitting up three adorable baby hats from one Magic Ball. Each Magic Ball has several yarns tied together by hand, which gives the fun striping effect. Anne didn't like how the ribbon knit up at this gauge, so she snipped it out and saved it to finsh off the tops of the hats. So clever!

These sweet caps are soft and easy to knit. Plus, each one is completely unique!

Here's how to make your own:

Using a US 9 16" circular needle, cast on 45 stitches.
Place a marker and join in the round, being careful not to twist stitches.
Knit for 4".
Thread a length of ribbon through the stitches and remove the needle. Pull the ribbon tight and tie into a bow.

So simple and so adorable!
