take a class with Annie Modesitt

When Annie Modesitt came to Loop last fall, the first class she taught was her famous Combination Knitting. I couldn't believe how much I learned in just the first ten minutes. Annie's not only knit so much for so long, but she thinks about the process and has therefore developed a collection of useful tips and tricks.

Annie's now-famous Coccoon Jacket had just come out on the cover of Vogue Knitting. And she had published her third book, Cheaper Than Therapy, a collection of essays about life and knitting.

Since then, Annie's been busy. Her patterns seem to appear in every edition of Interweave Knits and Vogue Knitting, she teaches all over the country, and she has two new books being released this fall, Men Who Knit and the Dogs Who Love Them, which she wrote with Drew Emborsky, and Twist and Loop about knitting and crocheting jewelry with wire.

Annie is in the headlines again as she returns to us this fall. This time, Interweave Knits has a feature article about Annie and her knitting.

Needless to say, we're extremely excited about Annie's visit. She'll teach two classes; you can find the details in the Classes & Events section of our site. We highly recommend these classes for knitters of all experience levels.
